PROPEL CONFERENCE
“Providing Resources, Opportunities & Priorities to Empower Lives”

Hickman Student Center, Morris Brown College

A full-day conference for men that provided workshops, forums, vendor exhibits, a job bank, a provocative drama, lunch and other resources.  Morris Brown College co-sponsored the 2009 PROPEL Conference. 2009 Partners included local businesses and public and private organizations. Approximately 340 persons attended the conference.

SOULFUL INTERLUDES
August 8, 2009
The 2009 fundraiser was a concert featuring soul music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Artists include Cheek Brown and the E-Z Access Band, Reginald Dancil and other local artists. The Soulful Interludes concert was held at College Park Auditorium.

LIVE B4U DIE SUMMIT
June 13, 2009

A life-saving program for teenagers and youth who are prematurely losing their lives due to homicide, poor choices, drug abuse, risky sexual behavior, and suicide; and was conducted because of the high number of teenage deaths occurring in the metropolitan area. Approximately 335 persons in attendance. The summit was featured on WSB Television People 2 People show on June 7, 2009.
